Visiting The Soup Shop- A Customers Perspective!!

The Soup Shop, located at 7350 N Floyd Highway (Rt 221) in Copper Hill VA, is NOT just about soup! The proprietors, Susan Huff and John Bell, believe in promoting and making available a wide selection of organic, locally produced items to meet all of your needs and a friendly smile as well.

Entering the front door or through the limited mobility entrance through the side deck, you may be stunned by the array of goods and foods. Take your time to explore. The prominent refrigerator/freezers are stocked with Susan’s soups both in meat, GF, and vegan varieties, sandwiches, wraps, salads, condiments, desserts, baked goods, locally grown produce, drinks and ice cream. Plus you will always find something new excited and yummy!

The shelves are stocked with jams, preserves, olive oil, snacks, homeopathic salves and tinctures. You will find art and creations made by local artists. Note the kitchen tools, cutting boards, seeds, books and crafts. The counter is often loaded with Big Indian Farm bread, home-made treats, Nancy’s Candies and more!

The tables and outside deck are inviting you to sit down and enjoy a meal, you can get a hot container of soup, sandwich wrap to go. Susan and John have made the Soup Shop more than a store; it is a place of community with special events such as outdoor concerts, demonstrations and sales events. The biggest everyday event is the care and kindness that they exhibit as you enter the store.
