Susan Huff is a chef and a local farm follower. A lover of fresh, nourishing, organic food, she is devoted to connecting people to the art and soul of cooking foods that are grown with respect, reverence and sourced locally.
For thirty-five years, Susan has created her own home garden, purchased from local farms, in order to bring delicious, nutrition-dense, whole-food meals to her clients and the community. She brought to life three organic cafes, including the first organic eatery in St. Petersburg, Fl. – Integrity Organics.
She currently resides in Copper Hill, VA. and is committed to serving, cooking, and creating real food at her new shop in Floyd County “The Soup Shop”, a shop dedicated to the love of local, seasonal farm fresh ingredients that are the true beginning for any really great meal!
From her education in biodynamic farming in New York, including studies in both Italy and London in food and farming, training with Dr. Bernard Jensen, practicing under Berkley chef and food activist Alice Waters, bee studies with Gunther Hauk, and holistic management farming with farmer, lecturer, and author, Joel Salatin.
Susan weaves into her experience in sustainable agriculture and cooking with local whole foods as her path to wellness. She believes that the abundant bounty of REAL found in Floyd County, VA is a rare treat, one she plans to make the most of. Connection, Creating, and Caring makes a Community amazing and healthy!
